Are you ready to take technical ownership in developing the next generation of heavy vehicles? We’re looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer with expertise in plastic and cast component design. You’ll be working in the early phases of development, contributing to concepts, defining technical requirements, and driving mechanical solutions from idea to implementation. You thrive on solving complex engineering challenges and have a sharp eye for innovative solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Define and lead the development of mechanical systems for heavy vehicles.
• Develop concepts and layouts during early project phases.
• Establish technical requirements and design guidelines.
• Contribute to material selection and manufacturing method decisions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated solutions.

Your technical bakgrund

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive professional experience in R&D and mechanical development within the automotive industry, preferably with a focus on heavy vehicles.
• Deep knowledge of plastic and cast component design as well as manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in CAD tool Creo and PDM systems Windchill.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English, proficiency in Swedish is considered a merit.
• Valid driving license Class B valid in Sweden, Class C or CE licenses are a plus
